# Erase Personal Data

Erase Personal Data helps people request removal of their own listings from supported people-search sites and track the outcome.

## What Erase Personal Data Does

- Lets users add a link to a listing they found on Whitepages, Spokeo, BeenVerified, FastPeopleSearch, or Intelius.
- Sends an Intelius email request after the user authorizes that listing.
- Links to the other sites' removal forms and supports an optional, user-supervised browser helper.
- Tracks user-reported submission, page-check results, confirmed removal, and reappearance.

## How It Works

1. Find: The user locates a listing and adds its URL.
2. Authorize: The user confirms the listing is theirs and approves the request.
3. Submit and track: The app sends an Intelius email request or helps the user complete a site's form, then records status and page-check results.

## Important Limits

Erase Personal Data does not promise to remove everything about a person from the internet. Some public records, source pages, news articles, and lawful public information may remain online. A page check alone does not prove every copy is removed. Automatic discovery, scheduled rescans, and automatic form submission are not available in this first version.

## Privacy Position

Erase Personal Data treats user-provided identity details as sensitive. The product is designed around consent, data minimization, auditable action, and plain-language status reporting.
